Earthquake Protection Amulet with Thangtong Gyalpo and the Kalachakra symbol

Earthquake Protection Amulet with Thangon Gyalpo

Here is an Earthquake Protection Amulet with Thangtong Gyalpo and an image of him with the Kalachakra symbol and powerful pacifying mantra surrounding it. With all aspects into one, the image is now called Thangton Sayo Sungwai Khorlo from the Dudjom lineage. An incarnation of Guru Rinpoche and Chenrezig inseparable. Wherever it is, it is intended to avert or reduce the effects of earthquakes.

Even if there were to be any future natural disasters such as earthquakes due to immense accumulated karma within a geographical region, the damages to the building or house would be far less damaging where this protection amulet is displayed.

Please feel free to spread it far and wide. In the past in Tibet, Tibetans have strong faith in this particular image to prevent and protect the inhabitants of a household from earthquake. It was considered so important that it was the first image moved from one shrine to another. Right click on the image to save it, print it out and hang it over doors, stick on walls or windows.

Below is a black and white image if you prefer instead.

Chakzampa Thangtong Gyalpo is one of the most significant Mahāsiddhas of Tibet who worked in the first half of the 15th century in Tibet and Bhutan. Thangtong Gyalpo was a yogi, philosopher, poet, exorcist, teacher, architect, engineer, painter , sculptor, doctor, treasure revealer and last but not least , an iron chain suspension bridge builder, a universal genius with supernatural abilities.

Also known as the mad saint (sgrub smyon), the destroyer of illusion (’khrulzhig), the performer of miracles, the medicine man who dispelled epidemics, the protector from Hor invasions, and the mender of harmful geomantic configurations (me btsa’ gso ba).He was also an accomplished master of technology, who built numerous iron bridges and ferries, erected many devotional objects symbolising body, speech and mind and allegedly pioneered the fashioning of statues out of precious stones. He was a great propagator of the Avalokiteśvara - Chenrezig cycle and Sādhanā.

Guru Padmasambhava personally transmitted Tangtong Gyalpo the highest Vajrayana Dharma and longevity Dharma. He resided 125 years in this world and created numerous wealth for the living beings. He was respected by the land of snows in Tibet. Almost every family offered sacrifices in worshiping this great Bodhisattva.

The Kalachakra symbol within the image is dedicated to both individual and world peace and physical balance. The Dalai Lama explains: “It is a way of planting a seed, and the seed will have karmic effect. One doesn’t need to be present at the Kalachakra ceremony in order to receive its benefits.”

Natural Calamities mantra

Here in Tibetan script and English translation is "A Prayer Which Spontaneously Fulfills All Wishes" to Guru Rinpoche. Recite it along with having the powerful image above of Thangon Gyalpo and Kalachakra in the house to remove obstacles of natural calamities.

When the obstacles from earth, water, fire or air Endanger or destroy our illusory bodies, Without hesitation or divided mind we pray to you; Orgyen with the female deities of the four elements, Without doubt will pacify the elements instantly. Padmasambava of Orgyen, to you we pray; Please bestow the blessing of spontaneous fulfillment of our wishes.

- Taken from “A Prayer Which Spontaneously Fulfills All Wishes”; A Terma discovered by Rigzin Gödem*Rigdzin Gödem Ngödrup Gyaltsen (1337-1408) — a major tertön who discovered the Northern Treasures. He was an emanation of Nanam Dorje Dudjom and a previous incarnation of Tertön Sogyal.

Below is same the same prayer but with an image of Guru Rinpoche instead, courtesy of Drikung Meditation Center facebook page.
